Meet Dr. Priya Melwani

Dr. Priya Melwani was born in Dallas, Texas, but grew up in Irvine and spent most of her life in Newport Beach. She is excited to be practicing and giving back to the same community that helped her become who she is today. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of California, Irvine, her Master’s in Public Health degree from AT Still University, and her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Loma Linda University, where she graduated with high clinical honors. Dr. Melwani has worked in the Newport Center area, providing dentistry for the past ten years.

Dr. Melwani has a deep passion for providing excellence in dentistry. She has spent countless hours taking professional courses to advance her knowledge and learn new technologies and procedures to better serve her patients.

Her professional mentors, Dr. Cherilyn Sheets, Dr. Jacinthe Paquette, and Dr. Jean Wu have been her pillars to achieving excellence in dentistry and have coached her with the complexities of dentistry. Using these teachings as foundational keystones to successful patient care has been her focus. She is excited to continue her career dedicated to learning and working side by side with them.

As a clinician, Dr. Melwani strives to always provide the best, compassionate dental care in a professional environment. It is her mission to exceed expectations by providing the highest standard of dental care and education to her patients, as well as building long term relationships of trust with them. She looks forward to meeting you and working with you to address any concerns you may have and encourages you to ask questions so that you can become actively involved in your dental care.

Dr. Melwani is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Orange County Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
