
Dr. Jean Wu obtained her Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Melbourne in 1990 and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee in 2002. She has her Masters in Prosthodontics and also a certificate in Maxillofacial Prosthetics. She maintained a full time Prosthodontic private practice in Australia, specializing in the replacement of missing tooth structures with veneers, crowns, implants and dental prostheses. Dr. Wu was also a Prosthodontist at the Royal Children’s Hospital of Melbourne rehabilitating children with craniofacial deformities. She was a distinguished lecturer and clinical instructor at the University of Melbourne and past president of Australian Prosthodontic Society.
After relocating to the United States in 1999, Dr. Wu was awarded membership of Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Richard Doggett Dean and Margarite Taylor Dean Honorary Odontological Society for her outstanding dental achievements and was an instructor and lecturer in the Restorative Dentistry Department at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Wu is a member of the American College of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, American College of Prosthodontists, American Association of Women Dentists, American Dental Association and the California Dental Association.
Dr. Wu is the Educational Director of the Newport Coast Oral Facial Institute, a non-profit international teaching and research center where she instructs dentists from around the world on the use of the clinical microscope in dentistry. She is also actively involved with several research projects on dental implants and materials, and has published over 15 articles, and co-authored several textbook chapters.
